New things happening at Memory Lane Photography in March

Hello All!

Thank you for following along with my blog!
1.Things are going to be crazy for the next few months! I will be moving in with my family next week for a few months until we find a home in Keokuk. My husband is going on the road so me and little man want to stay with family! So during this time I will only be doing outdoor photo shoots or photo shoots in your home.
2. I will be working on special baby and children collages for photo shoots. I have come up with a few so far and will put some samples up soon. I will be selling these with custom frames ready to hang! If interested please contact me! Below you will see a sample. This is my 'Let's Dress Up' collage. If you like something like this we can set up a session and focus on a 'play dress up' theme.

3. Also starting in March I will no longer be doing the sneak peeks on Facebook before the customers see all of their pictures. Once the client places their order, I will be picking a few of my favorites from the ones that they purchased to showcase on Facebook. This way the client can share the pictures that they really like with their family and friends (everyone has different tastes). I may share some pictures on my facebook wall from time to time that I really love!

If I have any other updates I will post later!

Had an awesome birthday today by the way. This photog is 27 years old! :D

Easter Mini Session

This will be the 2nd Annual Easter Mini Session! There are 4 openings from 11-2pm. It will be held in Keokuk. I set up my studio at my moms home for the easter portraits. I also have a live bunny for your children to have their pictures taken with.
If I have a lot of people booking I will do another session on March 18th. I will offer 4 openings for this date as well.
We had an awesome turn out last year and I loved how all of the portraits turned out! Contact me soon because if it is anything like last year it will book up fast!

Imprisoned

That is right! My son and I are officially imprisoned in our home for the next 6 days or so! Why you ask? Well we found out he has RSV! BOO! We will be spending the next week taking medicine, doing breathing treatments, laying around watching cartoons, and playing with some dirt bikes!

For those that haven't heard of RSV it is a respiratory virus that is a pain in the butt! The poor little ones usually have to be on breathing treatments at home and sometimes have to go to the hospital! It is no fun! My little man is a trooper though! He is so tough and rarely acts the 'sick' part! This photographer is beyond ready for spring!

On to some VERY good news! My sister in law Becky and brother in law JJ just had their baby boy Crewe! He is ADORABLE! He and my sister are doing wonderful! She gave birth to him yesterday! They live in Michigan (about a 7 hour journey for us) so we haven't had the pleasure of squeezing him quite yet but hope to do so soon!

My goal is too blog Monday, Wednesday, & Friday each week! On Fridays I will do a Question & Answer segment! I will answer the first five questions posted here! It can be about cameras, equipment, props, editing, anything photography related! So if you are a photographer or just have a love of photography, ask away!!

Hello all!

I am terrible at remembering to blog! There are so many things that I have to keep up with when running a business, being a stay at home mom and a house wife...so this part of my business kind of suffers!
How many of you out there likes to read blogs?

We are still looking for a home in Keokuk so that I can open up my studio. We are having a hard time! We want a large yard for our son to play in. He LOVES his four wheelers, dirt bikes, etc so I would be bummed if he didn't have a place to ride them! There is always Memes but it would be nice if he could do what he loves most at his own home!

Isn't he adorable! We think so :D

2012 has started off great!!! It started off with a goregous bride & handsome groom having their reception and choosing this lucky photographer to capture their moment!

Then I was so lucky to meet the most handsome little man Drayton!!

I was able to photograph Carly Jo's 3 month pictures and see how much she has grown since I first photographed her as a newborn. How lucky are photographers?? VERY! We get to capture the most precious moments of peoples lives and actually watch how children grow! PLUS I get to cuddle with the sweetest cutest newborns!!

My most recent shoot was with the future heart breaker Ren! He is so shy but oh so sweet! I loved the moments when I seen that smile flash across his face!! This is the third time I have been able to photograph the little cutie!

So today is February 1st! Very exciting month! This photog is getting old!!! I am turning 27 this month! That inspired me to have a Birthday Special this month! :D For this month only regular one hour sessions are only $27.00! I have had the pleasure of photographing these two three times now since December! They are so sweet and so cute! It was a goregous day out for pictures! :( Poor G had her allergies driving her crazy and little E was so tired but they were troopers! :D They are always so good!

3 Sessions throughout your pregnancy. Two mini-sessions (30-60 mins) and one regular session. At the end of the three sessions I will put together a collage to show your belly growing. I recommend in these that you wear one outfit for all three sessions that is the same (to help show your belly growing) and you can also bring a few others.

Snowed In!

Hope everyone is doing alright! We have been snowed in since the storm :( We are ready to get out and see people! I haven't seen anyone since my son, husband, or dogs since sunday and haven't been out of this house since saturday. Except for a ride on the tractor. See picture below. My Little Man

So I just wanted to post a few funny pictures of my little man!

I think he is a comedian at the age of 19 months HAHA! He loves to make others laugh, when he sees you are laughing he will do it some more. Which can be BAD sometimes haha! The photos below he is wearing one of my mixing bowls...he then decides to try and ride his 4wheeler with the bowl on his head, and his 4wheeler takes off so fast his head goes backward a little bit. :D

Being a mother is the most wonderful thing on earth! I bet some of you out there have some really funny pictures of your little ones!!
